General Information
Prairie du Sac is located on the beautiful Wisconsin River. Above the Village is located scenic Lake Wisconsin which offers a variety of recreational opportunities. The population of the Village of Prairie du Sac is 3,656.
The Village of Prairie du Sac maintains 9 beautiful parks. Parks such as Marion and Florence have shelters and restroom facilities they are available to rent for $25.00 per day, per shelter from May 1st through September. To reserve these parks contact the Village Hall at 643-2421. Westwynde and Highland Park have shelters and restrooms, but require no reservations. The Village also has Fireman’s Park, Eagle Overlook Park, George Blanchard Park, Graf Park.
The V.F.W. Park offers camping located on the banks of the Wisconsin River. For park and campsite rental information, contact the VFW office at 643-6848.
Prairie du Sac provides excellent outdoor recreation facilities to its residents.
The Wisconsin River area serves as a unique nesting ground for eagles in the winter months and provides a variety of fun all year round.
